Welcome to Everything You Know is a Lie - A site dedicated to righting the wrongs of "known facts", Urban Myths, Old Wives Tales and scientific misnomers.
So for all of you pedants out there who find themselves screaming at either the TV or cinema screen after hearing yet another well known but equally totally false statement.... you are home.
I hope you like version 3 of our website. We've moved away from rendered content and finally got around to establishing our content management system. All of which we hope to add up to a better listing on Google, smaller footprint on our server and faster access for our users.
We're going to stick with using Google as the force behind our site search and we are also switching to using RSS Blog style posts of the facts as it gives us greater control over content style.
We really appreciate our frequent visitors and thanks to web-stats WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE! But please, don't be shy. If you have a favourite well known fact that's actually totally false then please, please do get in touch.

- We've added a nice map courtesy of ClustrMaps (which just has to be a web 2.0 site, because it's lost a vowel... or should that be vowl).
- You can now add comments to the entries on EYKIAL. We're using the HaloScan system for convenience and yes, we're going to use moderation from the start.

Our biziest month is always September, when our article regarding Q33 brings six times the amount of traffic into the site.

Finding us
Despite the issues with mapping Google appears the greaters source of links with Yahoo offering up half the viewers and MSN just trailing behind it. For those with long memories, AltaVista and Earth Link provide just a handful of viewers each month.
